The Buck Fund named presenting sponsor for Street Cats Club’s Black Cat Ball

The Street Cats Club has announced a major sponsorship from The Buck Fund, a longtime supporter of animal welfare, marking a significant milestone in the club’s fundraising efforts for Friday’s upcoming Black Cat Ball.

The event, set for 6 -10 p.m. at The Emporia Granada Theatre, The Buck Fund’s contribution has helped the club raise over $28,000 to date. The group is just $2,000 shy of it’s $30,000 fundraising goal.

“We are incredibly grateful to The Buck Fund for their generous donation,” said Victoria Partridge, Executive Director of the Street Cats Club. “Their support allows us to meet the growing demand for spay and neuter services and ensures that we can continue to care for at-risk cats. Having them as the Presenting Sponsor guarantees that this year’s Black Cat Ball will be a success.”

The Black Cat Ball serves as the Street Cats Club’s premier fundraising event, offering an evening filled with entertainment, auctions, and opportunities for attendees to support local animal rescue efforts. The proceeds will fund critical services such as medical care, foster programs, and adoption initiatives for homeless cats. The event plays a vital role in sustaining Street Cats Club’s mission to improve the lives of stray cats through programs like trap-neuter-return (TNR) and support for colony caregivers.

Founded in 1995, The Buck Fund has been a key advocate for animal welfare, providing reduced-cost spay and neuter services and supporting rescue efforts throughout the Emporia area. Their donation to the Black Cat Ball will directly aid the Street Cats Club’s continued work in helping injured, sick, and orphaned cats.

Tickets for the Black Cat Ball are still available, with all proceeds benefiting the Street Cats Club’s mission.
